Our aim is to prevent what happened to Kyrece happening to anyone else.

We are currently working with with Wycombe District Council and a water safety company called Glasdon who have designed 20 B-Line safety equipment housing units for us. In the last few weeks we have begun to site these units which start at Bondig Bank (the beach area to the west of Higginson Park). Following this installation by Wycombe District Council will imminently continue on Higginson Park and the council owned land leading as far down to Riverwoods, directly in front of Marlow Rugby Club. The Westthorpe Farm land nowhas a safety unit in each field, including Spade Oak Meadow owned by Bucks County Council. A unit in Chelsea blue is being specially manufactured by Glasdon to be sited in the field where Ky passed. This will be placed as soon as it is completed. We have also been working alongside the Royal Lifesaving Society to provide Schools in Marlow and senior schools in Wycombe with resources, lesson plans, videos and assemblies to promote water safety during Drowning Prevention week and prior to the summer hols.Signage which will also be placed in these areas to warn of the dangers is currently also under discussion.  Kyrece’s Legacy will be maintaining part of this equipment ourselves and we would like to ask for the public’s support with this.  If you do find that any units have a white tab showing in the small box on the bottom right of the unit please could you inform us on the Kyrece’s Legacy Facebook page so that we can get someone there to reset the unit and check that the B-Line safety device is present and correct as these are reusable.

To continue to do this we are relying on the help of the community, local businesses and other charities that can help with donations and sponsorship to pay for safety units.
